    • Surprisingly Safe

Last week, we were traveling west at about 45 mph. Suddenly a vehicle came sliding across the road right at us from the eastbound lanes, on its side. It was going at least 45 mph, and maybe twice that. All we could see was its bottom, headed right for the front of our Avalon. Huge bang. Air bags exploded everywhere. All of us, two dogs and two humans, survived with very minor injuries. Thank you, Avalon.

97000 miles and beside oil changes and tires Zi’be put a total of $110 in repairs for 2 flat tire sensors. I’d buy another today if they still made them.

I have a 2007 toyota sienna with 180,000 miles and a new 2020 Kia Sedona. I have also had different types of cars in the past, Subaru, Honda, Land Rover, Camaro. I needed another used high quality vehicle as I’m not interested in paying the high price for a new vehicle so I started doing a LOT of research and was going to go for a newer used Camry to maintain that Toyota long lasting reliability as my Sienna, but by pure accident I discovered this 2014 Avalon and I ended up purchasing one in mint condition with 30K miles. To make this review really short, I LOVE this Avalon. Same engine and AWESOME bullet proof six speed transmission as my Sienna. I HATE the eight speed transmission in the new Kia Sedona. This Avalon is very smooth and powerful and the sucker takes off quickly. LOVE that!!! I did not want a four cylinder car. I have never driven an older Avalon model but I do believe people saying that car is smoother and more comfortable, but, my Sienna is also very comfortable and I have zero complaints with my Avalon so I really don’t understand why some Avalon drivers say this 2014 is “not as good” as older models. No kidding, this newer baby is more sporty, which I personally love, yet it is still very comfortable. Personally I’m really impressed. The car size is just perfect for me not too big nor too small. The handling and smoothness is so nice. This car was just the right car for me and I have zero regrets. By the way, this design is much nicer and more elegant than todays more cheap plastic looking Toyotas.
